I have always wanted to be a runner. I love the atmosphere of races, love the people involved and genuinely loved being a part of the events. Until today, I only participated from the sidelines. TODAY I achieved a life-long goal of running in a race. It may sound dramatic, but it was something that is hard for me. I spend so much time taking care of everyone around me, I've found it hard to take time for myself. Andy has led a healthy lifestyle for the entire 25 years of our marriage. He swims and has ran a marathon before. I never thought I would actually do this until today. It feels great! Best of all I was surrounded by the people in my life who I love the most. We crossed the finish line together and it felt great. Funny how physical exercise can have such a positive impact on your life. We drove all night to get home and be in church, but it was well worth it. Thanks to Ben & Ashley for driving in from Nashville, Rachel for making the trip from Starkeville and especially for Druanna who rode 10 hours with her "rents" both ways!
My husband of 25 years makes his announcement to run for Mississippi House of Representatives District 87 with friends, family and loyal supporters. I could not be more proud of his willingness to serve others.
